This is the place where we will post your stories about the Green's Playhouse, The Glasgow Apollo and Satelitte City (The Wee Apollo). As it develops we will break the stories up into sections such as Myths, Gigs I missed, Meeting the Bands, Where are they now etc. No story too trivial and we will only edit out bad language!

| They were excellent! I think The Wall supported them too. Always good live in those
days.
Nowadays the old songs are SO slow its a wonder they can stay awake!

| saw stiff little fingers at the apollo twice. first time was may 1981 and the wall
were the support band. this was the "go for it" tour, brilliant show
kicking off with roots ,radicals rockers and reggae, and ending with suspect
device. they also played teenage kicks as an enore, after which the drummer kicked
his drum set apart and held up a northern ireland football scarf, a great
night.
the second time was supposedly their FAREWELL concert and the alarm
supported them that night, another great night with all the old favourites and they
ended up playing i love you love me love.

| I was at the SLF concert on 10th June 1979 - my ninteenth birthday. A friend and I
were in the stalls. I don't remember too much about it, but I remember it was a great
gig, and that Jake Burns was in tears at the fantastic reception they got. I remember
him saying to the crowd that Glasgow was a similar city to their home of Belfast,
this went down well. The crowd were well-behaved, I don't remember any rushing to the
front that I saw at a SLF gig at the Capitol in Aberdeen, where a bouncer got his leg
broken and seats were damaged. I was only at the Apollo twice, the Who gig two nights
previous to SLF was the only other time. I notice that Dire Straits played on the
intervening night, my friend and I went to see Simple Minds at Strathclyde Uni
instead. What a weekend - those were the days !

| i was at the 29.09.1978 gig. the only time i ever watched a gig from a box. the
appollo was
a massive stage and i remember SLF were all squashed up together in
the middle of the stage.

| I watched the gig from the circle. Still have the flyer about the band that was left
on every seat. One of the best support bands i have ever seen!

| i remember the hall was half full for the alarm and most were just ignoring
them,shame, great band. me, stevie farmer(slf nutter, oh, and hearts nuts),george
mcvie and david carmichael had just seen the at newcastle city hall the night before,
so, round 2 was icing on the cake. deaf for a week. great gigs and signing
afterwards, ta lads.
