| And then he walked along the edge of the Circle
This is the place where we will post your stories about the Green's Playhouse, The Glasgow Apollo and Satelitte City (The Wee Apollo). As it develops we will break the stories up into sections such as Myths, Gigs I missed, Meeting the Bands, Where are they now etc. No story too trivial and we will only edit out bad language!
New Forum structure on Apollomemories soon.

| I remember seeing Blackfoot in April, 1982. They were awesome, but the support band -
Samson - recieved a terrible mauling from the crowd.
Fifty fans were allowed
backstage after the show for a meet-and-greet with Blackfoot.
Rickey Medlocke
- Blackfoot's lead singer now plays with Lynyrd Skynyrd. More about them in due
course.............

| Yep, and I was there! Most of the band were absolute gents. One was an
asshole! He (the bass player who shall remain nameless) insisted everyone call
him Mr! His exact words when someone dared to call him by his first name
were... "My name is Mr ......., and that's heavy on the Mr" Suddenly
the queue which had formed to get his autograph joined Ricky Medlocke's. Oh well, at
least we got to meet the band.

| Ricky Medlocke was, and still is a star! Rumour has it he's thinking about putting
that line-up back together again if there's enough interest in it. Time to find his
website and get on the case I think! Remember buying the live album of the tour where
'Highway Song' was recorded at the different venues so you could buy a 'local'
version of the album!

| Yep, one of my biggest if onlys.
Didn't know Blackfoot until Highway Song Live
album came out and have kicked myself for the next 22 years for missing it.
I
did get to see them at Knebworth (Deep Purple 1985 I think).
Pissing wet day
but Rickey et al blew the clouds away.

| Big regret..major regret not seeing Blackfoot, I've become a huge fan over the years.
Would be mightily interested in a copy of that Donnington gig, I've got a couple of
recordings from Donnington 1981 which are excellent. Pity about Jakson.
