And then he walked along the edge of the Circle

This is the place where we will post your stories about the Green's Playhouse, The Glasgow Apollo and Satelitte City (The Wee Apollo). As it develops we will break the stories up into sections such as Myths, Gigs I missed, Meeting the Bands, Where are they now etc. No story too trivial and we will only edit out bad language!

New Forum structure on Apollomemories soon.

Comments on Spider [reply]

Spider were quite good fun in a"wish i was really in Staus Quo" kind of a way.I could have lived without the Bob Carolgees clone bass player asking us"do you want some sweeties" then throwin them into the crowd though. Not a bad live band!Id saw them in Glasgow Rooftops also,,and they were good then too.Glasgow supproted them there.
Anyone called SNIFFA really has to be in a band dont they? Hehehehehe!
I think someone stole one of their guitars when they played in The Venue in Glasgow too.
[reply]

Nah what happened at the Venue was that the new guitar roadie put the guitar away before the end of the show. Then the twat panicked when he couldn't find it. So we all thought it was stolen. Hapless roadie only lasted 2 more gigs till we got back to England. Great band to start your "Roadie" days with. Thankfully working for Pete Way was much more fun. I'd swap Special Brew for Tea any day.??

yeah, bob carolgees. ha ha ha ha ha. could not take him seriously. they weren't a serious band though. "here we go....... here we go rock n roll" - that was there brief moment in the limelight. [reply]

Got the guitarist with the blonde hair (Sniffa ?) to sign the inside of my bikers jacket. Don't think the Antiques Roadshow would be interested though. If I remember rightly, they came onstage to that 'Meet the gang 'cos the boys are here...' tune from 'It ain't half hot mum'...or was that someone else? [reply]
