This is the place where we will post your stories about the Green's Playhouse, The Glasgow Apollo and Satelitte City (The Wee Apollo). As it develops we will break the stories up into sections such as Myths, Gigs I missed, Meeting the Bands, Where are they now etc. No story too trivial and we will only edit out bad language!
New Forum structure on Apollomemories soon.

| Just ABSOULTELY BRILLIANT both times ! One of THE BEST live bands of all
time,, no doubt.Saw them on the "We'll Bring The House Down"and
"Til Deaf Do Us Part" tours"! Trust me,,if you never saw them live
then you missed out BIG TIME! Vardis were a very good support one time,,and
Cheetah(Yum yum yum !!) were er,,Cheetah on the other!

| Couldn't agree more. Went to see them on the Til Deaf tour and a couple of mates came
along only because Vardis were supporting, they came out raving about how brilliant
Slade were! Remember the bog rolls - lobbed out into the crowd (or was that
Donnington?)

| YES MR.DEVLIN, I WILL AGREE WITH YOU SLADE ARE KILLER IN CONCERT. THE 1ST TIME I SAW
THEM WAS 1975 THEY OPEN FOR KISS,IN CATTANOOGA,TN. U.S.A. THEY HAD A GREAT SHOW
JAMMED LIKE ALL HELL. LATER IN THE SHOW PAUL STANLY LEAD SINGER OF KISS SAID IF IT
WAS NOT FOR SLADE KISS WOULD NEVER COME ABOUT. THIS STILL STANDS TRUE TO THIS DAY FOR
LOT OF BANDS FROM MY SIDE OF THE BIG POND.

| First time I saw Slade was this gig - fantastic - remember Merry Xmas Everybody was
not on the playlist and the crowd started singing it. Noddy wouldn't sing it in
January but encouraged the crowd to sing the full version. Magic.

| My first ever visit to the Apollo was a Slade concert where Thin Lizzie played
support in 1972. What an atmosphere, I had never heard music played so loud....brill.
This was the start of many visits to the venue mostly to see the mighty Quo.
